Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been working on a new project during my free time. I made a leather sheath for my wooden cutting dagger. I used some of my brown scrap leather as the inner layer then put some nice green leather over top. It’s not quite done, since I’ve not yet decided how to finish off the bottom tip.
I also used some more scraps to make a frog, similar in design to my sword frog, which has kept me busy the past couple of days. I double layered the scraps to make it more durable which required a lot of sewing. I did it all by hand and made my fingers quite sore. It's designed to hang on the right side, since my sword will be on the left, though could be hung on the left too. It just wouldn't be as nice and finished looking. I'm happy with how this project turned out.
